Coding Unit-Based Region of Interest Encryption in HEVC/H.265 Video

چکیده

The region of interest (ROI) encryption in the video can reduce complexity calculation and improve speed by encrypting only area containing critical visual information. Above all, ROI expand utilization domain (e.g., surveillance), unlike general methods that de-identify entire frame. However, traditional process high-efficiency coding (HEVC)/H.265 is more complex than advanced coding/H.264, encrypted tends to be wider ROI. Thus, cryptographic algorithms are applied outside ROI, which wastes computing resources restricts information needs provided. Therefore, this paper proposes a unit (CU)-based for HEVC/H.265 video. proposed method selectively encrypts parameters, such as intra prediction mode, motion vector (MV), MV sign, transform coefficient (TC), TC have significant influence, adopts tile concept parallel processing frames. CU-based reduces identifying based on CU coordinates, applying CUs associated with This approach preserve around restricting reference area. Moreover, it provides up about 30% faster while maintaining performance (i.e., peak signal-to-noise ratio structural similarity index measure).
